I’m a amateur photographer from the Washington, DC area that enjoys landscape and outdoor photography.  I also have a growing interest in wildlife and aviation photography, which you can see in my Other Work section

My interest in photography started several years ago as I was traveling extensively for work to many incredible locations and decided to start taking pictures to share with family, friends and colleagues.  Happy snaps really, taken with a basic point and shoot.  But the intent was to share places with those that hadn’t been there.  My photography interest continued to grow and I finally purchased a digital SLR camera and started taking a few extra days on my work trips to visit places such as the Colorado Rockies, Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, and Yellowstone.    While it was great to email my happy snaps around, more and more of my friends and colleagues wanted to see my pictures, so I finally created a simple website.  This is when my photography interest really started to grow and I focused on learning about the art of photography - how to create art from light that exists in a single moment of time.  It’s truly amazing to visit a national park and experience the outdoors.  Whether at 14,000 feet gasping for air in the mountains or braving -20°F during the winter, Mother Nature is truly incredible.

There are many more places that I would like to experience and photograph, and will continue to share my photos on my website.  Hopefully you will enjoy my photos and be inspired to visit the same locations.
